A Nutrition Coach Shares Her ‘Mouthwatering’ Burger Bowl Recipe

In one of her videos, Ashley shared her step-by-step assembly of her delicious, “mouthwatering” burger bowl, which includes not only the satisfying elements of a burger but french fries as well.

 

She begins by adding two handfuls of chopped romaine lettuce to a bowl. You could technically use any kind of green you like, but this step is essential, as the leafy greens act as a base for your bowl and add lots of fiber and nutrients.

 

Next, she adds a handful of diced tomatoes and three scoops of small potato homefries, which add a nice carb element to the meal and replace greasy french fries. Then, she adds what appears to be about a half cup of ground beef that she melted a slice of cheese to. You can use a premade burger patty for these recipes, but it’s a lot easier to eat a burger bowl with ground beef, which can be spread throughout the meal.

 

At the end of her video, Ashley adds the finishing touches to her burger bowl, including classic burger toppings: pickle chips and a hearty drizzle of a burger sauce-inspired dressing. Finally, she sprinkles some sesame seeds on top of the bowl, reminiscent of a sesame hamburger bun.

Fans React To Ashley’s Healthy Burger Bowl

Ashley’s recipe contains around 400 calories, making it a much lighter burger-inspired meal that can still provide you with the flavor profiles that make a cheeseburger so delicious. Plus, you don’t have to worry about missing out on getting in some tasty carbs with the added potatoes.

 

When her viewers saw her video, they ran to the comments section to ask for the full written recipe and wrote things like, “That looks so good.”

 

“Yummy,” added another TikTok user.

 

While she is saving the specific measurements of her recipe for her clients, the nutrition coach’s burger bowl includes simple elements that are easy to recreate at home.

 

To ensure you’re conscious of calories and fattening ingredients, make your homefries at home by baking them and using extra-virgin olive oil. You can also use low-fat mayonnaise or Greek yogurt as the base of your special sauce dressing.
