Snoop Dogg has set his sights on a new and unexpected venture launching a burger restaurant in Scotland. In a recent interview with the Sunday Mail, the rap icon revealed his goal to bring a pop-up burger van to Celtic FC’s stadium. “I would love to bring a pop-up burger [van] to a sports stadium to show fans that food at stadiums can be good. It’s got to be Celtic Park, man,” he said.
Snoop even broke down his perfect burger recipe, explaining that “the secret to a good burger is the love in the preparation,” adding that it should include ground beef seasoned with secret spices, high-quality cheese, and maple-cured bacon. He promised Celtic fans would enjoy it, especially since he plans on serving them himself at the van and eventually at his restaurant.
One thing’s for sure: the West Coast rapper has picked a side in the legendary Scottish football rivalry. When asked if he’d consider bringing his burgers to Celtic’s rivals, Rangers, he made it clear: “Am I going to bring my burgers to Rangers as well? Nah, I think we will give that a miss.”
Snoop’s burger ambitions don’t stop there. He’s previously discussed teaming up with Scottish celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay to open a full-on restaurant, possibly in Glasgow. Speaking to the Daily Record, Snoop shared his admiration for Ramsay, saying, “I have told him I want to open a restaurant with him… We are always swapping cooking tips… He respects Snoop as a chef.”
Snoop also credited Ramsay as his inspiration to get involved with the MasterChef franchise. In a past interview with The Mirror, he said, “You better believe Snoop could be the new MasterChef judge,” noting that Ramsay would support him stepping into that role on the UK version of the show.
