It’s the in-demand cooking accessory that five summers ago you might have never known existed – let alone one you needed – but in 2025, the pizza oven has become a garden dining staple.
This firm favourite is not only a trendy gadget among chefs but a summer must-have amongst home cooks too, because how better to inject outdoor dining with a jolt of creativity and fun than making your own pizza from scratch?
Indeed, making your own pizza is ever so simple – and satisfying too (check out our pizza dough recipe or for a healthy veggie twist take a look at Gennaro Contaldo’s easy aubergine pizza recipe).
But if you think pizza ovens are an enormous expense, think again.
The good news is Aldi have launched their impressively low-priced gas pizza oven for summer 2025.
At just £69.99 – a fraction of the cost of other pizza ovens – Aldi’s pizza oven is guaranteed to sell out quickly once it hits the iconic middle aisle from Thursday 10th July 2025.
Better still is the pizza oven’s stellar credentials. Thanks to its rapid warm-up time and ability to reach over 900oC (while the double wall design helps to retain heat within the cooking chamber), your homemade pizzas might just replicate like a slice of Italy, with a crisp base, soft doughy centre and toppings aplenty.
Other impressive features include the cordierite pizza stone and built-in thermometer, plus non-slip rubber feet offer to add stability.
Taking the pizza oven camping or on holiday? The Aldi team have thought of that too – the included carry bag means it can be taken on the go.
Want a slice of the action? Mark 10th July in your calendar. The race to the middle aisle is on…
