It’s always Costco food court this, Costco hot dog that, but we really need to put some respect on the Sam’s Club Café’s name. The warehouse food court is constantly rolling out new menu items—like the new Peaches & Cream Sundae—that are comparable, if not better than Costco’s food court options. Plus, the Café sells practically all the Costco fan favorites at a better price.
The $1.50 Costco hot dog combo is just $1.38 at Sam’s Club. And, the warehouse recently started selling entire pizzas for just $8.98, compared to Costco’s $9.95.
Now, a year after Costco brought back its take-and-bake deli pizzas, Sam’s Club is doing the same. However, once again, it might be doing it better.
Sam’s Club Just Brought Back Take-and-Bake Pizzas
Sam’s Club is bringing back its beloved take-and-bake pizzas with an all-new, upgraded Member’s Mark 12-Inch Artisan Margherita Pizza.
Sam’s Club
The warehouse removed its take-and-bake pizzas in 2022, around the same time Costco pulled its pizzas from shelves. Since then, customers have been calling for Sam’s Club to bring its deli pizzas back.
“Is the Take-and-Bake pizza ever coming back? I’ve missed picking up a cheap four-meat pizza every week,” a Reddit fan posted.
It seems the years of pleas have worked as Sam’s Club announced the return of Member’s Mark take-and-bake pizzas on July 1—and, they’re back with a serious upgrade.
Instead of bringing back its same old cheese, pepperoni, four-meat, and deluxe options, Sam’s Club is releasing an all-new flavor: Margherita. And, it’s not just the toppings that have changed. The warehouse has revamped its pizza recipe to give you premium quality for just $10.94, which is about $6 cheaper than Costco’s take-and-bake pizzas, if you’re keeping track.
The new restaurant-style Artisan Margherita Pizza starts with pizza dough that is flown in fresh from Italy, then prepared in clubs daily. The crust is topped with tomato sauce, a mix of shredded and fresh Mozzarella, fire-roasted cherry tomatoes, and a swirl of Member’s Mark Italian Basil Pesto, which is also sold at Sam’s Club.
The 12-inch pizzas are ready to serve after just 10 to 12 minutes in the oven, and feed two to three people. While these take-and-bake pizzas started as a seasonal item, fans have proven that there’s demand for the pies all year round. So, the new Artisan Margherita Pizza is joining clubs permanently—and some customers have already spotted it on shelves.
“The dough is completely different from the café-style pizzas, in my opinion, way better,” wrote @samsclubfoodreview on Instagram. “This artisan Margherita pizza is a fantastic addition to Sam’s Club’s lineup. I’m looking forward to seeing what other varieties might come next!”
Whether you want to grab a few pies to feed a crowd or are just looking for an easy weeknight dinner option, the Sam’s Club take-and-bake pizza is back and ready to be a fridge staple once again.
