Gordon Ramsay is serving up a new cookbook inspired by one of his most viral memes as part of a new venture with HarperCollins.
Idiot Sandwich: 100+ Recipes to Elevate Your Sandwich Game will be the first title from Bite Books, a new cookbook imprint between Fox‘s Studio Ramsay Global and Harper Influence. The book, launching September 30, will feature some of Ramsay’s best sandwich recipes for any meal — even dessert!
Some of the recipes inspired home chefs can expect to find within the pages of the Idiot Sandwich are the Mississippi Slugburger, The Chip Butty, Sicilian Steak, a soulful Sushi Sandwich or Gordon’s go-to Wellington Sando.
“What started as Gordon’s runaway viral meme is now a must-own for food fans around the world and our ideal first collaboration with Studio Ramsay Global under Bite Books, as we build a cookbook collection that’s filled with culinary discovery and excitement,” Lisa Sharkey, Senior Vice President & Publisher at Harper Influence, said in a statement. “As for Idiot Sandwich, I’ll start with Gordon’s classic Wellington Sando and Chef’s pick of sweets, please.”

The cookbook will also serve as the official companion to Ramsay’s comedy sketch and competition series of the same name.
Bite Books is the latest step toward expanding Ramsay’s Bite food and lifestyle brand, which launched in 2024, and will serve as the brand’s signature publishing imprint. Bite already has its hands in the chef’s hit TV series Next Level Chef and Gordon Ramsay’s Secret Service as well digital originals including Idiot Sandwich and Scrambled.
