Brand celebrates five-star quarterback recruit with hometown send-off Monday
Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken, a name synonymous with delicious, home-style fried chicken for nearly 60 years, honors Bellefontaine’s own Tavien St. Clair, a five-star prospect and the nation’s No. 2-ranked quarterback, with a special send-off celebration before he heads to Ohio State University.
The Bellefontaine location will host the hometown send-off from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, July 28, at 101 Stockyard Road restaurant, welcoming the five-star quarterback recruit and his supporters for a community-wide event that spotlights St. Clair’s journey.
Guests will have the opportunity to meet St. Clair, along with a live radio remote from ESPN-WING 1410 to help amplify the celebration.
This event marks the kickoff of a new local Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) partnership between St. Clair and Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken.
As part of the overall deal, Lee’s will work with St. Clair throughout the upcoming football season to engage fans and celebrate his continued success.
The partnership feels special for St. Clair, as he’s a longtime fan of Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken and grew up sharing meals with his family at the hometown restaurant.
His connection runs even deeper, as his uncle also worked closely with the Lee’s team through a former partnership with Pepsi, making the celebration especially personal.

As St. Clair prepares for his collegiate debut in Columbus, the send-off offers a chance for the community to rally behind him and celebrate this milestone.
“I’ve always loved Lee’s. It’s where we went after big games or just to hang out as a family,” said St. Clair. “Celebrating with my hometown and the people who supported me from the beginning means a lot.”
