Key Takeaways
- Burger King is bringing back a fan-favorite menu item for the first time in 13 years.
- Fans petitioned for this dessert to return and now it’s back on the all-day menu.
Nowadays, it can feel like fast food restaurants launch new menu items quicker than we can try them. Typically, we reserve that feeling for Taco Bell, which seems to add new items to its menu practically every week. However, lately, Burger King has been bestowing quite a few fresh menu items upon us—from its Naruto meal to the new Crispy Onion Whopper.
Maybe you were already planning a trip to BK to try the new fan-inspired burger, but if not, the chain just gave us all a reason to swing through its drive-thru. Burger King is bringing back a fan-favorite menu item that customers have spent years petitioning and begging for.
After a 13-year-long hiatus, Burger King’s beloved Cini Minis are returning to menus.
Burger King Brings Back Cini Minis

BK’s Cini Minis, its miniature cinnamon rolls served with sweet icing, were an icon in the ‘90s and early ‘00s. The sweet treat joined the menu in 1998, but was discontinued in 2012. The Cini Minis were so popular that a few years after their discontinuation, fans took to petitioning on Change.com for BK to bring them back.
Burger King briefly obliged the more than 6,000 fans who signed the petition by offering the mini cinnamon rolls as a GrubHub exclusive back in 2018, but the dessert swiftly left menus again. Now, following a test release in Florida last year, the Cini Minis are officially hitting Burger King restaurants nationwide once again.
The returning Cini Minis and icing dipping sauce will be served all day—so you can grab them for breakfast or as a sweet treat for dessert. BK is also offering the bite-sized cinnamon rolls as part of its $5 Duo and $7 Trio bundles, so you can order them alongside your Whopper Junior, Original Chicken Sandwich, Bacon Cheeseburger, Medium Fries, 8-piece Chicken Fries, or Medium Soft Drink combo for just $5 or $7.
Fans are “so happy” about this return, saying they’ll be “sprinting” to Burger King ASAP.
But, maybe don’t get too excited about the return because BK isn’t bringing its Cini Minis back permanently. The cinnamon buns will only be available for a limited time, so if you’ve been waiting 13 years to try them again, you might want to join the other fans in racing to the drive-thru so you don’t miss out.
