That’s exactly what happened with one of Taylor Farms’ salad kits. The Honey Balsamic Salad Kits were intended to have a balsamic vinaigrette, but were accidentally packaged with Asian Sesame Ginger dressing instead.
While it may seem like a minor issue, this mix-up poses real health risks for anyone with a soy or sesame sensitivity or allergy. Both soy and sesame are among the most common food allergens in the country, prompting a nationwide recall.
On August 26, Taylor Farms recalled its Honey Balsamic Salad Kits after discovering that the salad’s master packs—which contain individual packets of dressing and toppings—included Asian Sesame Ginger dressing instead of vinaigrette.

Right now, this recall only affects Taylor Farms’ Honey Balsamic Salad Kits. The salad was available for purchase at Walmart and Kroger stores in 25 states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and West Virginia.

- Product Name: Taylor Farms Honey Balsamic Salad Kit
- Size: 8.3-ounce bags
- Code Dates Start With: “TFRS” (found in the upper right-hand corner of the kit)
- Best If Used By: Any date through September 4, 2025
What To Do With Recalled Salad Kits
If you purchased the affected Taylor Farms salad kit and you have an allergy or sensitivity to soy or sesame, throw away the kit immediately. You should be eligible for a full refund from wherever you bought the salad kit.
