BILLINGS, Mont. – Just in time to enjoy a football weekend, Wake Up Montana’s John Martin and his wife Claire are bringing fans and families back to the kitchen with what they say is their tried-and-true ‘pull-apart pizza’ recipe. This savory twist on monkey bread is both simple and delicious.

According to the couple, the recipe gained popularity in their previous neck of the woods thanks to Tootie, a Chattanooga resident who compiled the list that John and Claire say are their “greatest hits,” when it comes to easy-to-follow recipes. John emphasized the pizza-monkey-bread’s simplicity, noting the only unique requirement is a Bundt cake pan.

To make the dish, quarter two 16-ounce packets of biscuits and mix them with bite-sized pepperonis, Italian seasoning, onion powder, cheese … and a “liberal” amount of sprinkles! “We’re here for a good time not a long time,” John said as they prepared the ingredients.

Bake the mixture at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Once done, flip the Bundt pan to reveal a golden, cheesy delight. “It smells so good,” John said, sharing his excitement about the dish’s appeal for all ages and occasions, including watching local sports.

This recipe’s simplicity and flavor make it perfect for gatherings, the couple says. John and Claire encourage everyone to try it at home. “You can’t really go wrong with carbs and cheese,” John joked.
