Whataburger knows how to give the people what they want. The beloved Texas burger chain has just announced something that the fans have been clamoring for—the return of the Buffalo Ranch Chicken Strip Sandwich.
The fan-favorite sandwich stars three crispy strips, which are topped with Monterey Jack cheese, and smothered in Buffalo Sauce and Creamy Buttermilk Ranch and served on one of the chain’s famous five-inch buns. It’s a cult classic for a reason and it’s returning to Whataburger menus starting September 30.
“The Buffalo Ranch Chicken Strip Sandwich has become a true icon for us,” Whataburger Chief Marketing Officer Scott Hudler said in a press release. “Every time it returns, guests show up in a big way. We’re excited to deliver this bold flavor combo once again for our longtime fans and for guests discovering it in our newer markets.”

That’s not the only fall surprise that Whataburger has in store for its customers. The chain also announced that it is extending the Bacon Wrangler Double through November 3. If you’re in the mood for a Texas-sized snack, this one features two beef patties that are topped with crispy bacon, Monterey Jack and American cheeses, pickles, crunchy onion strings, and chipotle aioli. Fans loved the burger so much that Whataburger is keeping it around a bit longer, but with a little twist, in that it’s only available for people willing to order via the Whataburger App and the website, Whataburger.com.
Anyone hankering to try these sandwiches, better act quickly, though. These sandwiches are back for a limited time only. So if you have a hankering for a Buffalo Ranch Chicken Strip Sandwich or a Bacon Wrangler Double, better hit the Whataburger drive-thru soon.
