This 82-Year-Old Brand Just Arrived on Costco Shelves

Written by

When pizza cravings hit while you’re perusing the aisles of Costco, you have a few options. You can head to the food court and chomp on a slice of the store’s budget-friendly ‘za , or grab a jar of Kirkland Signature Basil Pesto to slather on a homemade French bread pizza instead.

Alternatively, you can stop by the grab-and-go section, which stays stocked with freshly made options such as Costco’s four-meat pizza. And of course, you can never go wrong with a frozen pie.

Deep-dish lovers will be thrilled to know that Costco is now expanding its frozen pizza collection with a beloved 82-year-old brand that brings a Midwest favorite right to your own oven.

Pizzeria Uno Pizza Is Now Available at Costco

Pizzeria Uno’s Triple Pepperoni Pizza is now available at Costco. The nine-inch Chicago-style pie features layers of mozzarella, Parmesan, Romano cheese, and a trio of pepperoni, all nestled under a rich, savory tomato sauce. The toppings are held in a deep-dish buttery crust that more resembles a flaky pie crust than a traditional yeasted dough.

At Costco, Pizzeria Uno’s pizzas come in a two-pack and are priced at just under $15, though prices may vary by location. This is a steal compared to the brand’s lineup at Walmart, which is around $10 just for one.

Shoppers should note that because this pizza is so thick, it does take quite a bit longer to bake than your average frozen pizza, so you’ll want to plan ahead. You can expect Pizzeria Uno pizza to take just about one hour in the oven, but you can shave off about ten minutes of cooking time by allowing it to thaw in the refrigerator overnight.

Serve this pie on its own or pair it with a fresh green salad for added crunch. Alternatively, go for the full-on restaurant experience and serve alongside homemade cheesy bread or mozzarella sticks. And don’t forget dessert. As always, Costco’s options are plentiful, including Rice Krispies Treats-inspired cookies, and a dessert tray filled with pre-cut brookies, brownies, and bars.

So whether you’re planning for tonight’s dinner, a football watch party, or just a rainy day, be sure to stop by Costco and snag two (or three) boxes of this restaurant-quality frozen pizza. After all, it’s cheaper than a ticket to the Windy City.
