Ian’s southwest chorizo buffalo chicken dip recipe

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — All this week on Good Morning Arizona, we’re getting ready for fall with our favorite slow cooker recipes.

Today’s recipe for southwest chorizo buffalo chicken dip is brought to us by First Alert Meteorologist Ian Schwartz.

Ingredients

  • 1 rotisserie chicken pulled off the bone, or 2 cans chunk chicken, drained
  • 1 pack chorizo cooked in pan 
  • 1 bunch of cilantro chopped fine mixed in with chorizo 
  • ½ onion diced fine, cooked in pan 
  • ¾ cup hot buffalo sauce 
  • 2 (8-oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bunch celery, cut into 4-inch pieces for dipping
  • 1 box crackers, chips or bread for dipping

Directions

  1. Place cooked items (chicken, chorizo, cilantro and onions) in slow cooker along with with cheese, cream cheese, ranch and buffalo sauce.
  2. Warm until melted.
  3. Serve with chips, crackers or celery.
