Taj Singh and his wife, Shaylene Singh, have quickly become familiar faces in Campbell River.
In 2021, the couple took a leap into business ownership with the opening of Pita Pit. Just two years later, they saw another opportunity: bringing the first Pizza Pizza location to Campbell River, which opened in July 2023 at Tyee Plaza.
For Taj and Shaylene, food is more than convenience – it’s about creating a welcoming place where families, students and workers can enjoy good food at fair prices.

“We went down to Vancouver to try it out for ourselves,” Taj recalls. “We fell in love with the taste, quality and value – and knew it was something we wanted to share with Campbell River.”

“Shaylene always has my back, and I have hers,” Taj says. “That’s really the secret behind how we’ve been able to run two restaurants successfully.”
Both Taj and Shaylene are actively involved with their business and are dedicated to hiring local talent. Their team, many of whom have been with them long-term, are an integral part of their success. As Shaylene explains, “the staff put their heart into making sure our customers are happy.”
