Chris P. Bacon Cooking Event Quests and Rewards – Grow a Garden Guide

Written by

The Trading and Cooking Event Update introduced a new quest to Grow a Garden that’s filled with cooking. It revolves around feeding the new pig chef named Chris P., who is near the center of the island. You’ll need to grow the right ingredients and then toss them into a pot to make certain recipes. To help you feed Chris P. all of their cravings, we’ve put together an overview of the event, a guide on how to cook, all rewards, and all of the recipes we know.

This page is a work-in-progress as we learn more about the Chris P. Bacon Cooking event update.

Chris P. Bacon Cooking Event Overview

The Chris P. Bacon Cooking Event replaced the previous Zen and Corruption Updates, adding a cooking setup in the center of the island. Instead of keeping the balance growing two trees, you can now create different meals like Pizza, Cake, and plenty more.

To get some of the new rewards in the Trading and Cooking Event Update, you can give these meals to the new chef, Chris P. While they do have a craving for a certain food every hour, you can still give them any meal. They’ll then give you rewards based on the size and rarity of your food, as well as if it’s a craving.

The tough part of fulfilling Chris P.’s cravings is knowing how to make each recipe they want. And if you’re trying to get the rarer rewards, you’ll need to create a high rarity meal too. This seems to be related to the ingredients since there are multiple ways to make many meals.

It doesn’t help that some of the recipes are a bit bizarre. Which makes it hard to guess how to make some of them. Who would have thought you’d make ice cream by cooking Watermelon and Corn together?

How to Cook in Grow a Garden

If you want to start cooking meals for Chris P., you’ll need to head over to the Cooking Pot. This is by the center of the island, on top of a picnic blanket, with a board next to it. If you’re ready to experiment or follow a recipe from our table further down, you can start adding ingredients to the Cooking Pot.

Simply equip the crop you want to add by tapping it from your inventory or hotkey bar and then interact with the Cooking pot. This will add it to the pot and show it on the Ingredients board to the left. If you make a mistake, you can tap the big red Empty button to empty the pot. You won’t lose any ingredients you’ve put in.

Once you’re ready to start cooking, tap the green Cook button below the Cooking Pot. You can click it or tap it, depending on what platform you’re playing Roblox on. Unlike other parts of Grow a Garden, this isn’t an interaction with a button like E on PC. You actually have to tap it.

Depending on your recipe and ingredients, you’ll then have to wait for the meal to finish cooking. Or you can spend 39 Robux to skip the timer. If you put the right ingredients in for what Chris P. is craving, you’ll immediately get a message saying that you’re cooking that meal. Even if the meal is still cooking!

Once your meal is finished cooking, you can interact with the Cooking Pot to collect it. Then, you can give it to Chris P. for a reward or hold onto it if you want to save it for when he’s craving it. Assuming you made a meal that isn’t what they’re craving.

All Chris P. Bacon Cooking Event Rewards

Here are all the rewards and their rarities that you can get from giving Chris P. food. For those who may not know, you can give any food to Chris P., regardless of if they’re craving it or not. This works well if you want to get these rewards but don’t have the necessary ingredients.

The rarity of the meal you give Chris P. doesn’t guarantee you’ll get the same rarity back as a reward. For example, I gave them a Rare Ice Cream and got a Common Mutation Spray Burnt. Another time I gave them a Legendary Pizza and got one Rare Gourmet Seed Pack.

All Chris P. Bacon Cooking Recipes in Grow a Garden

Making food in the Trading and Cooking Event Update can be confusing since there are many different ways to make each meal. However, we’ve put together a table with some recipes for each food type we’ve discovered so far. Since each meal has its own rarity, the ingredients you use to make them will play a role in what you get.

This is why it’s worth experimenting if you want to get rarer rewards like the Divine Mochi Mouse pet or Prismatic Taco Fern seed. Also, how long a recipe takes to cook will vary due to the size of fruit and certain combinations. In some cases, a recipe may swap from its normal recipe to the current craving instead.

We’ll continue adding to the table as we learn about new recipes and meals.
