“Wing It with Bota” Contest Offers Chance to Win Tickets to the Big Game this February
MANTECA, Calif., Aug. 28, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Bota Box Wine kicks off Fall tailgating season with a recipe contest that invites home cooks to pair an original chicken wing recipe with a Bota Box wine for a chance to win two tickets to football’s biggest game this February in Santa Clara, California . A favored pick for tailgate parties, America’s bestselling premium boxed wine brand offers award-winning varietals in portable, shatterproof packaging that makes it easy to pack, pour and share wine wherever fans gather.
The “Wing It with Bota” national recipe and wine pairing contest runs from September 1 to October 31, 2025. Three regional finalists will receive an expenses-paid trip for themselves and a guest to the San Francisco Bay Area where their recipe will compete at Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Tailgate on February 8, 2026.
The “Wing It with Bota” contest headlines Bota Box’s tailgate campaign, created to elevate game day with wines that are as versatile and crowd-pleasing as chicken wings themselves. In addition to a national recipe contest, “Wing It with Bota” features activations and content to engage fans of wine and wings nationwide. Highlights include:
- Official Wine of the National Buffalo Wing Festival: In the lead up to National Tailgate Day on September 6, the Bota Box WingMobile will roll into the National Buffalo Wing Festival in Buffalo New York this Labor Day Weekend, where festival-goers aged 21 and over can sample a variety of wing recipes paired with Bota Box wines.
- Original Wing Recipes & Wine Pairings: For the second year, NFL veteran, Food Network host and author of the Game-Day Eats cookbook, Chef Eddie Jackson, has created original wine-friendly chicken wing recipes to be served with Bota Box for an all-star matchup of flavors. Chef Eddie Jackson’s recipes can be found at www.botabox.com/football.
Andrew Blok, Marketing Director for Bota Box, notes that “Chicken wings are America’s favorite football food, and Bota Box wines are a perfect pairing. With a wine to complement every style of wings—and a format that’s just as shareable and delicious—Bota Box is ready for football season. We hope our contest inspires fans to elevate their tailgates by making their own wings and enjoying them alongside our traditionally made, high-quality wines.”
Submissions for Bota Box’s “Wing It” national recipe contest opens September 1. Contestants may enter by visiting www.botabox.com/football and providing their original chicken wing recipe, Bota Box wine pairing and story inspiration behind their creation. The deadline for entry is October 31, 2025. Follow on Instagram @botabox and visit www.botabox.com/football for game day recipes, pairings and more.
