The Most Underrated Serious Eats Recipes, According to Reddit

Written by

The secret’s out: Our editorial director, Daniel, and I are regulars on the Serious Eats subreddit. (He occasionally jumps into the conversation; I lurk.) We know the usual crowd favorites: Halal-cart chicken, foolproof pan pizza, and pressure cooker chicken chile verde, to name a few. That’s why we were thrilled to see a recent thread asking the community which recipes deserve more love. The answers are varied, but I did notice a pattern: You really love your meat and starches.

Below, we’ve gathered some of the most underrated Serious Eats recipes according to Reddit. You’ll find easy chicken dinners, lots of meat, some sweets, and even a sauce or two. These dishes are tried and true, and beloved by you, our readers. And while I wish I could include every suggestion, there were 268 responses at the time of writing—far too many for one roundup. So, consider this your invitation to cook beyond the usual hits. Your next go-to recipe might just be hiding here.
