The honey balsamic is produced by Southern California-based company Latitude 36 Foods and contains both soy and sesame due to a product mix-up. The dressing comes in a 3.4-ounce plastic pouch and contains lot numbers 131105-3335 and 131105-3335A. The recall notice states that the product was distributed in California, but it’s unclear if these specific dressing packets were distributed elsewhere. However, this mix-up is linked to a broader Taylor Farms salad kit recall announced earlier last month, which impacted distributed across 25 states.
The recall received a Class I status, meaning “there is a reasonable probability that the use of or exposure to a violative product will cause serious adverse health consequences or death.” Anyone with allergies or sensitivities to either soy or sesame should avoid the product and discard it.
