In fall of 2025, Wendy’s is bringing the heat with the return of their chicken tenders, now officially rebranded as Tendys, according to a company press release to investors.
“Introducing all-new chicken tenders – and they’re so good fans will know them by name,” the press release said. “Fans can now order chicken tenders, a new core menu item, at Wendy’s restaurants nationwide.”
Here’s what you need to know about Wendy’s new chicken tenders.

Wendy’s chicken tenders to return, what’s new about them
The new tenders are going to be made with a different, novel recipe versus their first iteration: being made with seasoned breading and juicy, savory white-meat chicken.
“They’re everything a tender fan could want: crunchy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside,” the release said. “And because no chicken tender is complete without the dip, Wendy’s culinary team is introducing six new sauces designed for maximum dunkability – now nearly double the size, to give even more sauce to fans!”
Six new dipping sauces
The new Wendy’s chicken tenders come with the option of one of six dipping sauces, which include:
- Wendy’s Signature – A creamy sauce made with black pepper
- Sweet Chili – Sweet and spicy sauce
- Scorchin’ Hot – Wendy’s take on a very hot hot sauce
- Creamy Ranch – Old reliable dressing, made with buttermilk and spices
- Honey BBQ – Sweet, smokey, and savory sauce
- Honey Mustard – A sauce the sweetness and warmth of honey plus the ever-so slight sting of mustard
How many pieces come with the Wendy’s chicken tender order
“Chicken Tenders are available as three- or four-piece options and can be ordered as part of a combo meal or a la carte. Each three- or four-piece order comes with two dipping sauces,” the release said.
The press release said that this October, some Wendy’s restaurants will be renamed Tendy’s, in a similiar vein of when IHOP changed their name to IHOB.
