Walt’s Flavor Crisp Chicken, one of Wilmington’s oldest Black owned and operated restaurants, is celebrating its 50th anniversary on Oct. 11 at its 3612 Miller Road location.
The party from 5 to 7 p.m. includes live music, hors d’oeuvres and Walt’s signature, crispy fried chicken.
Food will be available to purchase at 50% off during the party, while available, to walk-in customers only, said Symanthia Lynch-Sheppard, who has been operating the Walt’s Flavored Crisp Chicken location on Miller Road in Wilmington, next to Home Depot, for the last 10 years.
