Locally sourced dessert recipe brings a taste of the holidays to Aguanga

Aguanga resident and Knöppelåsen owner Annika Knöppel is sharing a sweet seasonal treat straight from her kitchen – a rustic apple-elderberry cobbler that celebrates local flavors just in time for the holidays.Knöppelåsen, her nonprofit organization, focuses on regenerative agriculture, native plant education and sustainable gardening – and this dessert fits right in with that mission.“This recipe was adapted from an apple-blackberry cobbler featured in Country Living magazine,” Knöppel said. “I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did.”
Apple-Elderberry Cobbler
Crumb topping3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp kosher salt
8 tbsp (1 stick) unsalted butter, cold and cut into pi
